Assistant Superinendent of Distance Learning

Biography:

I am the Assistant Superintendent of Distance Learning for Blueprint Education. I became a member of the Blueprint team in March 2006. The two years prior to coming to Blueprint, I taught junior high Language Arts in Glendale, Arizona. Prior to that, I taught high school Social Studies in Ohio. I am a certified and highly qualified Language Arts and Social Studies teacher. I have lived in Arizona for six years, but I am originally from Ohio. Go Bucks – a true Ohio State fan! I earned my masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix and learned first hand how online courses could make education available for every learner. I work in a variety of areas for Blueprint Education, including curriculum development, alignment, and review, program management and recruitment, and administration of Hope High School Online (our virtual high school) and Blueprint Academy (our private school). I utilize my training in education as well as curriculum and instruction on a daily basis. Many critics might think online education is a "lesser" way to learn. I disagree because it gave me an opporunity to earn my degree and I see how it gives hope to high school students everyday! Working with all the the Blueprint Education programs helps me fulfill the educational motto that I truly believe in "For Every Student...A Way To Learn." http://www.blueprinteducation.org
