40 Years for Blueprint Education
Back from our beginnings in the 1920’s until today, our mission has been to provide innovative ways for students to learn and educate themselves regardless of their situation, circumstance, or lifestyle.
My, how times have changed since then. We aren’t delivering lesson packets to children harvesting crops in the fields anymore…we’ve morphed into helping students who fall outside of mainstream education for whatever reason: gifted, motivated, bored, can’t function in large class sizes, too ill to attend school, need to work during the day, just to name a few. Call it distance learning , online education , or virtual education .
Some people think that students don’t deserve additional academic or credit recovery options if they cannot get it done in school. We say why not? We aren’t the same individuals with the same thoughts, personality, drive , or backgrounds . We all have our own way of learning and we cannot expect everyone to absorb information through just one aspect of that.
So how do you feel about these innovations in learning for students? Is it a good thing? Is it fair for everyone? Does it send mixed messages?
