Why Do Wednesdays Get Such A Bad Rap?
Yes it's true...we call it hump day because it's like an irritating speed bump in the middle of the week or we say things like it's only Wednesday as if all that could go wrong in the universe will certainly manifest today. Okay, I'm not advocating that we should treat Wednesday like we do Friday but I am saying perhaps we should choose to have a more optimistic perspective when it comes to this day.
Think of it like hiking a mountain...we begin on Monday a little leary but nonetheless physically ready to take on the challenge (usually) and we work our way to Tuesday feeling a little better that we've accomplished and completed the Monday part of the trail. Then we get to Wednesday!!! Can you hear the harps now...we are actually not at a hump but at the apex of the hike. What you see should be gorgeous panoramic views from atop. You've worked diligently and purposefully to this point and now you get to enjoy the scenic rewards :D.
Now if that doesn't give you some alternative things to think about then crawl back under your covers and sleep the rest of the day away...remember you can't get those hours back again.
If this helps, here are some great things that happen on Wednesdays: adoptive children are featured, watermelons are worshiped, women rose above the chasm of race in Mississippi, humanities lecture series takes place in Vermont, wine blogging, skateboarding, a gathering of entrepreneurs, coders, marketers, designers and bloggers in VA…
