It All Matters!
"…not one thing in particular, but everything in general...it all matters!" – Viliami Tuivai
This was just a smidgeon of Vili’s response to what corporations have asked him throughout his various speaking engagements throughout the country to groups ranging from schools, nonprofit organizations, Fortune 500 companies, and sports teams just to name a few. His most recent talk was at Blueprint Education’s 16th Annual Student Recognition event for alternative education students in Glendale, Arizona on May 7, 2010. He also graciously visited Blueprint’s charter high school in west Phoenix, Hope High School.
Their question to Vili was something similar to this…
“You guys have won over 40 something games in 4 years and lost just twice…won the WAC championship 3 times and 2 BCS bowl games…how does Boise State do it over and over and over again? How are you guys so successful? What’s your secret?
“not one thing in particular, but everything in general…in other words it ALL matters!”
So whatever you do, whatever your age, it makes no difference. If you run a household, everything you do from the little things to the big ones matter. If you are a CEO of a large corporation, everything you do from how you treat people to how you conduct business to how to institute polices matter. If you a high school student, your homework, your grades, the way you listen or participate in class, and the way you are with friends, teachers, and strangers ALL MATTER!
Are you doing all that you can to be a better person? to strive to achieve your goals? Have you set your goals? Do you know how to get where you want in the future?
Stay tuned as the next installment will begin to break down Vili’s traits for success…

Vili's visit to Blueprint Education
I was not in Phoenix when Vili visited, but I am inspired by what you have communicated regarding his visit. Having lived in Boise during rise of Boise State's athletic programs, I can attest to the 'blueprint' that Vili has described - "It all matters!". I had the pleasure of attending a mens breakfast one morning where coach Peterson was the guest of honor. What Vili is talking about was echoed through coach Peterson's words. This shows me how consistent this organization is that Vili and Peterson represent. BSU has built integrity into their system and settle for nothing less and it shows by the people they recruit, hire and choose to represent the university. The good news is that it has proven to translate to success. I now live 2000 miles from Boise and colleagues often ask me, "how do they do it". Now I can respond, "It all matters". Thanks to Vili for visiting Blueprint Education and inspring us all.
Thanks
Hi Jon-
