Blueprint Curriculum Development
We have a planned process that leads to a vision of effective curriculum design.
Curriculum is at the heart and soul of all of Blueprint Education’s three main divisions — Alternative Education, Charter High Schools, and Distance Learning. Blueprint Education’s commitment is to student success and learning. A sound, effective curriculum provides a platform for those learning opportunities and life successes. By writing our own curriculum, Blueprint Education provides students with an educational program that best fits their needs. Our curriculum can offer students just the one course they need to complete their school schedule or offer an accredited and comprehensive high school diploma program. The key in today’s changing world is to provide students the flexible options to maintain the pursuit of their academic goals.
The Process
The curriculum follows an extensive design and review process that typically takes 8 to 10 months per semester course to complete. The development and review process focus on standards alignment and effective teaching practices. Highly qualified teachers, or experts in the field of study with the assistance of a certified teacher, write all of Blueprint’s curriculum. Curriculum writing begins with analysis of the educational standards and evolves into a course description, broad course objectives, specific learning objectives in each lesson, teaching strategies, and varied assessment techniques.
